Juncos Hollinger Racing INDY GP Race Report

Juncos Hollinger Racing (JHR) competed on home soil this weekend for the Indianapolis Grand Prix on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.

Sting Ray Robb positioned the No. 77 Juncos Hollinger Racing Chevrolet in P17 for Saturday’s 85-lap race, while teammate Conor Daly lined up the No. 76 Juncos Hollinger Racing Chevrolet in P22. Both drivers tackled the demanding 14-turn road course configuration at the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Sting Ray Robb had a rough start to the Month of May in the No. 77 Chevrolet, ultimately finishing in P21 after starting 17th on the grid.

Conor Daly gained 7 positions to finish P15 in the No. 76 Chevrolet after starting from the 22nd position.

Conor Daly, driver of the No. 76 Chevrolet: “Honestly today was a bit of a roller coaster. I mean we got absolutely drilled on lap 1 and had to do a full 360, and got some damage to the floor which was a shame, but we just kept pushing. I knew that we had pace in the car, and I knew that, even from last, you can still make something happen with the right calls, and the team made those right calls. Chevy power helped me out on the straights with overtaking, and on the restart at the end we made up a couple spots. For sure a day of ‘what could have been’. Thankful for a decent day. We know we want to be further forward, and I know we can be. We just have to keep executing, keep learning, and showing up ready to fight.”

Juncos Hollinger Racing now turns its full attention to preparing for the 109th Running of the Indianapolis 500, with practice for the iconic race beginning Tuesday, May 13.
