Off to a good start at Sebring
The first test of the season delivered exactly what Juncos Hollinger Racing was aiming for. Both drivers showed clear progress, and our new signing Rinus Veekay finished the test P4 at Sebring International Raceway.
90 laps completed VeeKay on day 2, 45 on day 1 – the fastest GM-powered car on both days. With the 77 car, 66 laps on day 1, 48 laps day 2.
Rinus VeeKay:
“Really good first two days on the job. We’ve prepared for this test for a while in the off-season and it’s proven to be the right approach. Really positive two days working with a new team, new car, new everybody. It was very smooth. If all of 2026 is gonna go this smoothly, I’ll be a very happy driver!”
Sting Ray Robb:
“Really happy with the team’s progress over the off-season – the pace was definitely there. A new philosophy and the changes really paid off in the end. Day 1 we were P3 in our session, only a hundredth off. I’m ready for Phoenix!”
David Brown, Technical Director:
“Sebring was very productive and we learned a lot about the car, particularly running on the 2026 street-course tyre. The team worked well together after a few changes of position, and the efficiency was strong. The progress this week puts us in a good position heading into the first street-course race at St. Pete.”
Dave O’Neill, Team Principal:
“It was great to see everything come together at Sebring. New team members, new roles, new car – and it all worked pretty smoothly. That’s a positive way to start the season and now it’s about carrying that momentum into the next test in Phoenix. Clear direction. Solid pace. More to come."
