HVM Racing ReLaunches The Nuclear Clean Air Energy (NCAE) Campaign and partners with Juncos Hollinger Racing

Indianapolis, IN. February 26th 2026

 HVM Racing has formed an alliance with NTT INDYCAR SERIES Team Juncos Hollinger Racing to leverage all relevant aspects of Indycar for its NCAE campaign in 2026.

We have been in those shoes before and see a lot of familiar faces within the organization that will help grow this on-track partnership and achieve our collective goals,” said Keith Wiggins, Founder & Co-owner of HVM Racing.

 The Nuclear Clean Air Energy campaign in its previous iteration was a very successful public advocacy, outreach, and workforce development initiative. Its origin dates back 20 years ago when a pro Nuclear Energy industrialist Eddie Wachs and his longtime friend and partner Hollywood icon, Paul Newman decided they wanted to promote the need for clean, reliable, uninterrupted power. With fellow Industrialist and HVM Racing co-owner Imran Safiulla joining this outlook, the campaign evolved to a robust national advocacy platform with a clear goal on workforce development. The campaign engaged and curated an alliance of the leading power utilities, OEM’s, policy makers, and academic institutions, to promote science, technology, engineering, and math, as a key foundation towards a sustainable workforce supporting critical energy infrastructure.

 The Nuclear Energy Renaissance 

The campaign launches at a moment of renewed momentum for nuclear energy worldwide. After a challenging decade, nuclear power is making a strong comeback, with rising investment, new technology advances and supportive policies in over 40 countries. Governments and industries increasingly recognize that achieving climate targets and energy security will require a significant expansion of nuclear capacity alongside renewables. In 2022, the European Union officially included nuclear energy in its sustainable finance taxonomy (under strict conditions), signaling institutional acceptance of nuclear as a green, ESG-aligned technology. In the United States, the Department of Energy has set targets to triple nuclear generation capacity by 2050 to meet future power demand and net-zero goals. This policy support has unlocked billions in funding for advanced reactors and fuel supply chains. 

 2024 was a pivotal year for the nuclear energy industry, with countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas initiating new reactor projects or extending plant lifespans. In the U.S., the completion of Vogtle Units 3 and 4 in Georgia (the first new large reactors in 30+ years) and the advancement of multiple Small Modular Reactor (SMR) projects underscore a domestic nuclear renaissance. By 2025, demand for nuclear energy has skyrocketed, with the sector poised for massive expansion driven by its unique role in securing climate and energy goals. 

 This resurgence creates a timely backdrop for the relaunch of the NCAE campaign being anchored by Rev1 Energy and Tracker Technologies. Nuclear power is already the USA’s largest source of emissions-free electricity, preventing 470+ million metric tons of CO₂ annually. As next-generation reactors (SMRs, advanced modular designs) near deployment, public understanding and support will be crucial to accelerate projects and attract the skilled workforce needed. The NCAE Campaign will harness the current pro-nuclear tailwinds, amplifying positive messages about safety, innovation, and climate benefits. By doing so, it aims to cement nuclear energy’s image as a forward-looking solution and counter outdated perceptions.
