We are proud to announce that Ricardo Juncos and Agustín Canapino have been recognized as ‘Distinguished Personalities in the Field of Sports’ in the City of Buenos Aires.
This recognition is a testament to the persistent effort that Ricardo and Agustín have demonstrated throughout their careers in motorsport.
Both men have proudly raised the Argentine flag in the highest echelons of sports, inspiring future drivers and motivating generations of fans.
Ricardo Juncos, the founder and co-owner of Juncos Hollinger Racing (JHR), has been a driving force in the world of motorsport. His vision and leadership have propelled the team to the pinnacle of the sport, competing in the most prestigious national and international racing series.
He said: “It’s an honor and a dream to be present in the legislature of my country’s capital receiving this distinction. A lot of images come to mind; everything I’ve experienced at the racetrack, in the workshop, and on these streets. Everything I do is with Argentina in mind, to showcase what we are capable of.”
Agustín Canapino, also known as ‘El Titán’, is one of Argentina’s most outstanding and respected drivers. With numerous championships and victories to his name, his driving skills are legendary, and his impact on the sport is undeniable.
Following Agustín’s recognition, he said: “In this city, I won my first TC championship. Receiving the award that was once given to Messi is something that gives me goosebumps. Being in this hall, with all this audience, is a way to thank not only the legislature but also everyone present: family, friends, fans, colleagues, journalists, and everyone who feels represented.”
This recognition from the City of Buenos Aires certifies the impact that these two icons of motorsport continue to make in the history of the sports community.
