Job Description
The Junior PR & Social Media Coordinator will play a critical role in amplifying the JHR brand, cultivating media relationships, and producing engaging digital content. This is a hands-on role that combines creativity, strategy, and execution—telling our story through traditional media, digital platforms, and sponsor-driven content. The ideal candidate is adaptable, proactive, and thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments such as international motorsport.
Essential Responsibilities
Public Relations
· Develop and execute media relations strategies to increase visibility and reinforce brand messaging.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, influencers, bloggers, and media outlets.
· Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries, coordinating interviews and press events.
· Manage relationships with contracted photographers and videographers.
· Prepare drivers for media interviews and press obligations, ensuring professional representation.
· Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, media kits, and related materials.
· Support crisis communication planning and reputation management.
Social Media & Digital Content
· Plan, schedule, and manage content across multiple social platforms (Instagram, X/Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, etc.).
· Innovate creative ways to showcase the team, drivers, and partners through engaging digital content.
· Curate and prioritize posts to align with team and sponsor messaging.
· Collaborate with partners and sponsors to deliver integrated content campaigns.
· Develop and execute a content calendar, incorporating partnership activations and key team events.
· Stay up to date on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to drive growth and engagement.
Required Qualifications
· 2-3 years’ experience in digital media, social media marketing, or public relations (motorsport/sports industry preferred).
· Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital content strategies.
· Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
· Highly organized with strong time management skills, capable of meeting tight deadlines in high-pressure environments.
· Demonstrated creativity with the ability to adapt tone and content across multiple audiences.
· Willingness and ability to travel extensively (race weekends, testing, sponsor events).
· Proactive, collaborative, and innovative mindset.
