Portland International Raceway is a 12-turn, 1.964-mile road course known for its key passing zones — a frontstretch chicane, Turn 7’s hard-braking right-hander, and a three-turn complex leading back to the line. The track hosted its first INDYCAR race in 1984 and is home to the closest road-course finish in series history, when Mark Blundell won by just 0.027 seconds in 1997.
